United Nations member countries agreed to celebrate September 21, The
International Day of Peace as a Global Ceasefire and Day of Peace &
Nonviolence in our homes, our communities and between nations. Peace
Day has been a focal point for community-uniting and peace-inspiring
events since its inception in 1981.
Together we can create a more peaceful, just and sustainable world,
one heart, one family, one community at a time. Join the Countdown To
Peace and help inspire your community to create humanity's first day
of peace, ever.
YOU
CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
- Ask
your favorite organization, group or religious institution to support
the International Day of Peace
- Plan or attend a Peace Day Event in
your community (scheduled events include concerts, parades, marches,
fasts, conferences, festivals, gatherings, service projects, ceremonies,
children's activities such as peace art & essay contests and pinwheels
for peace, Peace Day parties and peace vigils)
- Ask
your Mayor, City Council, Governor and Head of State to declare a Proclamation
of Peace
- Print
out Flyers, Posters and other Resources

plant trees for the International Day of Peace as a symbol for environmental
protection, international co-operation, cultural diversity, tolerance
and peace.

Association
Filantropic IRFF-Onlus: Songs for Peace, Festival. The age of participants
will be from 10 - 25 years – 100 persons are expected to participate
in the contest. The Project will start with a Meeting of working
group. The project will end with the festival itself where also
will be a peace pictures exhibition. The Festival will end with
a sisterhood and brotherhood event where all participants will give
their commitment to promote peace for humankind to live like a big
peaceful family. Finally we will make a book that will contain the
lyrics of songs from festival and DVDs from the festival which will
be mailed to festival participants. The project will contribute
to establishing a cultural space of communication between the participants
at the festival and also will create strong friendship relations
between participants through project programs. The project is proposing
to promote culture as a medium of communication and outrunning the
problems that exist at the political level. The project will become
traditional and will be a chance for participants to discuss their
local or regional problems and to propose solutions for each.

learning how to make peace doves; the students club and faculty
of physical training of the National University of Kyiv Mohyla Academy
and the youth organization “Kyiv Plast” organized contests in 10
local universities and in Kharkov and Vorzel. He
