as a Global Ceasefire and Day of Peace & Nonviolence in our homes,
our communities and between nations. Peace Day has been a focal point
for community-uniting and peace-inspiring events since its inception
in 1981.
Together we can create a more peaceful, just and sustainable world,
one heart, one family, one community at a time. Join the Countdown To
Peace and help inspire your community to create humanity's first day
of peace, ever.

CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
- Ask
your favorite organization, group or religious institution to support
the International Day of Peace
- Plan or attend a Peace Day Event in
your community (scheduled events include concerts, parades, marches,
fasts, conferences, festivals, gatherings, service projects, ceremonies,
children's activities such as peace art & essay contests and pinwheels
for peace, Peace Day parties and peace vigils)
- Ask
your Mayor, City Council, Governor and Head of State to declare a Proclamation
of Peace
- Print
out Flyers, Posters and other Resources

Asociacion Juvenil De Las Naciones Unidas Del Peru: We are planning
to have an activity for the 21 September, it will be a Peace Vigil,
we are trying to organize it with cooperation of some organizations
and institutions in Cusco city, the activity will include the participation
of school students as well as young people who are studying at institutes.

Our activities on Peace Day will include the participation of
school children and teenagers as well as college youths. The activities
will include presentations about the importance of the non-violence,
cultural acts emphasising the same issue and drawing contests about
it.

Punto J: Our International Seminar about Young people using ICT
against HIV-aids, will be starting at September 21st, the United Nations
International Day of Peace. We work with young volunteers, most of
them, people who lives in dangerous places, surrounded by drugs and
violence, however, they transform all these bad experiences and this
negative atmosphere into good energy and put all them efforts to work
through this website to help other young people to lead a better life.

Rimas, Marco; Lima: I will be organising an EARTHDANCE event.
Earthdance is the largest global synchronized music and dance event
for peace in the world. It happens on Saturday Sept. 16, 2006 and
acts as a kickoff event for the International Day of Peace on Sept
21. Earthdance Events range from small private parties to large weekend
