Moderated by Terrie M. Williams, inspirational author and founder
of the Stay Strong Foundation, with s pecial guest, Ilyasah Shabazz,

about the violence in our streets. Whether it's turf wars in America,

around the world, solutions seem out of reach. Conversation Peace,
a groundbreaking meeting of the minds, invites you to listen in
on a dynamic discussion of ideas, understand the pain that triggers
violence, and be inspired by the passion of peacemakers from two
different worlds. You will gain insight into the thinking of reformed
gang members, now dedicated to making peace both in their own lives
and in America; and you will get to know an international prince
of peace, tirelessly committed to establishing harmony on a global
scale. The event is sponsored by The Stay Strong Foundation, The

David
Zeiger's new film focuses on a forgotten 1960's anti-war
movement that altered the course of history. This movement didn?t
take place on college campuses, but in barracks and on aircraft
carriers. It flourished in army stockades, navy brigs and in the
dingy towns that surround military bases. It penetrated elite
military colleges like West Point. And it spread throughout the
battlefields of Vietnam. It was a movement no one expected, least
of all those in it. Hundreds went to prison and thousands into
exile. And by 1971 it had, in the words of one colonel, infested
the entire armed services. Yet today few people know about the
GI movement against the war in Vietnam.

NEW
YORK , NEW YORK, USA
2004-
Dr. Jane Goodall and members of Roots and Shoots flew Giant Peace
Doves at Ground Zero in New York City. Fr. Lyndon Harris, the Executive
Director of The Sacred City Project, led a small group holding the
Peace Doves as we walked and prayed at Ground Zero by the Peace
Pole there. We remembered those who died at this site and those
who die and are injured by violence everywhere. We walked to St.
Paul's where Jane Goodall concluded the observance by ringing their
Bell of Hope.
