Peace
Day
ARIZONA

Join
the worldwide movement to create a Global Ceasefire and Day of Peace
& Nonviolence in our homes, our communities and between nations
on September 21, The International Day of Peace. Peace Day has been
a focal point for community-uniting and peace-inspiring events since
its inception in 1981.
This year will be the greatest Peace Day, yet. Together we can create
a more peaceful, just and sustainable world, one heart, one family,
one community at a time. Join the Countdown To Peace and help inspire
your community to celebrate humanity's first day of peace, ever.

of Peace

PATAGONIA
Peace Every Day Initiative
Web: www.peaceeveryday.org
EVENT : World
Peace—the healing of the world—is achieved through a very simple
principle: We Create Peace By Being Peace. It is this universal
truth that has inspired the Peace Every Day Initiative, a global,
collective, daily meditation for peace. The purpose is to unite,
through meditation or prayer, a minimum of 8,000 people (while holding
the vision of 144,000 or more people) by becoming the vibration
of peace for 40 minutes or more each day at sunrise or sunset. This
powerful thoughtform of peace is enough to shift the global consciousness
so that we may fully celebrate peace on earth! The Peace Every Day
Initiative is a unique opportunity for all peace movements and spiritual
paths to unite with a shared intention. We feel that the power of
this initiative lies in the possibility of people from all world
traditions and lifestyles to unite in a single coherent vibration
of peace. Our unity is a message of the power of cooperation that
is necessary now to manifest light on the planet at a potency that
can bring the Thousand Years of Peace. |

2005-
All 700+ students at M.C. Cash in Laveen, Arizona participated in
an interactive art installation at a school wide Peace Assembly.
Four students were selected to read their statements for peace and
then all students walked the pathway through the peace symbol, actually
becoming a part of the installation, where they then planted their
pinwheel for peace. After school students took their pinwheels home
and planted them in their front yards. (www.pinwheelsforpeace.com) |
